Brief introduction: Natural gas bottles, widely used for industrial and transportation purposes, fall under the category of dangerous goods due to the high risks associated with their storage and operation. Their safety factor must always remain extremely high, as any structural failure under high-pressure conditions could result in catastrophic accidents. Ensuring their safety requires precise detection and validation methods capable of identifying whether each component of a gas cylinder meets stringent design standards.

At Chongqing SEI, a specialized gas bottle detection project was carried out to evaluate the structural strain and safety performance of natural gas cylinders. The challenge in such projects lies in the difficulty of directly determining whether the strain of individual components aligns with design requirements, especially when subjected to high atmospheric and internal pressure.

To address this, engineers adopted a step-by-step testing methodology that combined controlled pressure applications with advanced strain detection.
