Wujiang electric reactor destruction test

Dynatronic reactor destruction test

Project name: Wujiang Electric Reactor Destruction Test – Vibration and Safety Evaluation

Brief introduction:In the field of electrical engineering, reactors play a crucial role in stabilizing voltage and current in power systems. However, due to the high operational demands and potential environmental challenges, it is vital to ensure that these components can withstand stress conditions without compromising safety. To validate performance, specialized destruction tests are carried out to measure reliability under extreme scenarios.

At Wujiang, an electric reactor destruction test was conducted with strict requirements for vibration acceleration. The safety criteria dictated that the vibration acceleration of the reactor should not exceed 0.075 g. If this threshold was surpassed during the experiment, the test would need to be terminated immediately to prevent potential damage or hazardous outcomes.

The testing site presented unique challenges. The environment included serious electromagnetic interference and DC bias, factors that could easily disrupt measurement accuracy and reliability. To address these conditions, engineers relied on Dynatronic’s RE-846U system, a dynamic data acquisition and testing solution specifically designed to handle complex and interference-heavy environments.

During the test, the RE-846U system continuously measured vibration levels and monitored the reactor’s behavior under different stress scenarios. Despite the harsh testing conditions, the system delivered accurate, interference-free data that allowed engineers to track real-time reactor performance.

The results of the destruction test were highly satisfactory. The reactor operated safely within the required limits, demonstrating that its design and construction met the stringent safety and reliability standards set for such components. The testing not only validated the reactor’s durability but also provided valuable insights for future improvements in similar systems.

This project highlights the importance of combining rigorous stress testing with advanced data acquisition systems to guarantee safety in electrical power components. By leveraging solutions like the RE-846U, industries can ensure that reactors and other high-stakes equipment operate reliably under both normal and extreme conditions.
