Brief introduction: Wind turbine blades are critical components in renewable energy systems, directly influencing efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance. As these structures must withstand high wind speeds, dynamic loads, and environmental stresses, comprehensive testing is essential to guarantee their safety and effectiveness before being deployed at scale.

In this project, the German Lloyd’s Register (GL) certification center carried out an official certification process for fan blades produced by Tianjin Mingyang Company, one of China’s leading wind turbine manufacturers. The primary objective was to ensure that the blades met stringent international standards for structural reliability and performance under a wide range of operating conditions.

To achieve this, Dynatronic provided advanced testing technology. Using the SE-860 system, engineers conducted a series of structural performance evaluations designed to measure the stress variation and frequency response of the blades. These tests were performed under various simulated working conditions, replicating the types of loads and forces that blades experience during actual turbine operation.

By carefully monitoring stress distribution, vibration behavior, and frequency characteristics, the tests provided a complete picture of how the blades would perform in real-world environments. The results confirmed that the blades produced by Tianjin Mingyang Company satisfied the certification requirements, demonstrating both structural integrity and long-term reliability.

The successful completion of this project delivered several key outcomes:

  • Validation of blade safety and durability, meeting GL’s strict certification standards.

  • Data consistency with design calculations, strengthening confidence in engineering models.

  • Support for product certification and market entry, enabling Tianjin Mingyang’s blades to be deployed in renewable energy projects worldwide.

Through this case, Dynatronic once again showcased its ability to provide high-precision testing solutions that play a pivotal role in advancing the renewable energy sector.
