Project name: Structure performance test of large-scale granulator

Brief introduction:As part of a major retrofit project, Yanshan Petrochemical undertook upgrades to its existing large-scale granulator equipment. Given the critical role these machines play in material processing, ensuring that the retrofitted granulator operates reliably and efficiently was a key priority.

To verify performance after the transformation, the granulator equipment supplier, in collaboration with Dynatronic, performed a comprehensive structure performance test on the upgraded system. The goal was not only to validate stable operation under real working conditions, but also to gather accurate test data that would inform future improvements to the equipment.

The test campaign focused on several core mechanical performance parameters:

✅ Shaft Torque: Measuring the torque applied to the rotating components under various load conditions to ensure the drivetrain operates within safe mechanical limits.

✅ Displacement: Monitoring small structural shifts and movements during operation to assess mechanical alignment and integrity.

✅ Vibration: Capturing vibration signals at key locations to detect potential issues such as imbalance, resonance, or excessive wear.

Dynatronic provided the instrumentation and expertise needed to perform these tests with precision. Through the deployment of advanced data acquisition systems and high-sensitivity sensors, engineers were able to obtain high-quality data from each test phase.

The results of this testing provided Yanshan Petrochemical and the equipment supplier with a solid data foundation to support:

  • Immediate verification of post-upgrade equipment stability

  • Identification of potential mechanical risks

  • Opportunities for fine-tuning and optimization

  • Guidance for future equipment design and development
