Brief introduction:In the construction and infrastructure industries, large cranes are indispensable for lifting and handling oversized and heavy loads. The safety and reliability of these machines are directly tied to their ability to perform under extreme weight and stress conditions. To guarantee performance and minimize risks, comprehensive load testing is essential.

In 2011, Changsha Zoomlion Co., Ltd., a global leader in construction machinery manufacturing, carried out a major project to verify the structural performance of a heavy-duty crane. The test was conducted in collaboration with the Italian CIFA Company, ensuring compliance with international standards for equipment safety and performance.

For this project, Zoomlion purchased 19 sets of WZ-88S wireless strain stress test and analysis systems supplied by Dynatronic. The WZ-88S allowed engineers to perform precise, real-time measurements of strain, stress, and structural response during load application. Because the system is wireless, it provided flexible setup across multiple test points on the crane, enabling comprehensive monitoring of critical structural components.

The load test was designed to simulate real-world lifting conditions, pushing the crane to its design limits. Engineers measured how the crane structure responded to varying loads, tracking critical data such as stress distribution, displacement, and strain behavior. The results provided clear confirmation that the crane met both design specifications and safety requirements, validating its ability to perform reliably under maximum load conditions.

This successful test not only demonstrated the durability and strength of Zoomlion’s heavy crane but also reinforced confidence in the company’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The data collected continues to support product optimization, helping ensure cranes remain both efficient and safe in demanding global construction projects.
