Monitoring pigging process of oil West-East gas pipelines

Dynatronic monitoring for pigging process

Project name: Monitoring for pigging process of oil West-East gas pipelines

Brief introduction: Our company has been formally invited by the China Petroleum Pipe Institute to take part in the monitoring activities during the pigging process of the West-East Gas Pipeline. Our primary responsibility is to closely observe and record any changes in the pipeline pressure as well as the pipeline diameter at the exit point. This real-time data monitoring enables the construction personnel to promptly implement necessary measures, thereby effectively preventing any potential pipeline burst accidents and ensuring the safety and integrity of the pipeline system.

Our company utilizes the DE-944 dynamic signal test system, the DH801 pull-wire displacement sensor, and the NS-B pressure sensor to fully leverage the significant advantage that the DE-944 system offers. Specifically, it can perform remote telemetry via network communication, which effectively eliminates the need for personnel to physically approach the hazardous test site, thereby greatly enhancing safety during testing operations.

After 39 hours of continuous and careful monitoring, valuable data with practical significance were successfully collected. During this period, pressure changes in the pigging process were observed in real time, allowing timely measures to be taken to ensure that the pigging work was completed safely and smoothly. The entire process is lengthy and complex, yet the DE-944 dynamic test system performed exceptionally well throughout. Moreover, the data collected is authentic and reliable, a fact that has been formally recognized and validated by the China Petroleum Pipe and Tube Research Institute.
