Elevator Dynamic Performance Test Using DE-944 System
Project name: Elevator Dynamic Performance Test Using DE-944 System
Brief introduction:
Client: Shanghai Hitachi Elevator Co., Ltd.
Instrument Used: DE-944 Dynamic Data Acquisition System
Safety is paramount in modern vertical transportation. Whether in residential towers, commercial buildings, or public infrastructure, elevators must perform reliably under all operating conditions — especially in emergency scenarios. To ensure this, manufacturers conduct rigorous performance tests on newly developed elevator systems.
In this project, Shanghai Hitachi Elevator Co., Ltd. partnered with Dynatronic to conduct a comprehensive dynamic performance test on a new elevator model. The goal was to evaluate the elevator’s structural response during an emergency stop — one of the most demanding situations for mechanical and structural components.
Using Dynatronic’s advanced DE-944 Data Acquisition System, the engineering team tested the elevator under two key conditions:
✅ Full Load emergency stop (maximum rated capacity)
✅ Half Load emergency stop
The test focused on measuring the dynamic strain performance of key structural and mechanical components throughout the elevator system. By capturing real-time strain data during rapid deceleration, engineers could assess:
The ability of structural elements to withstand emergency braking forces
Potential stress concentrations or deformation risks
System behavior under dynamic loads
Compliance with relevant safety and performance standards
The DE-944 system provided high-speed, multi-channel strain data with excellent signal stability, ensuring reliable results even under complex mechanical vibrations and dynamic forces.
The data obtained allowed Hitachi’s engineers to verify that the new elevator design meets strict industry requirements for safety, reliability, and structural integrity.
Dynatronic is proud to support world-class elevator manufacturers with advanced DAQ solutions that help bring safer, smarter, and more efficient vertical transportation systems to the market.
